These Covid rules may change if the government-mandated covid restrictions change before the event. They only apply to this event.

Sailing in the 2022 Auckland Laser Champs at Tamaki Yacht Club is currently open to all Laser sailors, with or without a Covid My Vaccine Pass. However, some restrictions do apply.

Please do not come to the regatta if you are feeling unwell.

Sailors and supporters with a Covid My Vaccine Pass should enter and pay at the Tamaki YC on the day. They should rig and launch from the Tamaki YC ramp. They can also enter the Tamaki YC building.

Sailors without a My Vaccine Pass are also welcome to sail in the regatta. However, they should rig and launch from the Okahu Bay ramp near the Royal Akarana Yacht Club, and keep any gathering to less than 25 people.
These sailors must pre-register by contacting Mike Knowsley (mikeknowsley@xtra.co.nz, ph 021 344 749) before Saturday 2nd April. For safety, we need to know you are launching separately from Okahu Bay.

These restrictions are necessary under the government’s current mandates. The Tamaki YC building is also the 5 Knots commercial function centre, so entry requires a My Vaccine Pass. Sailors and supporters in the Tamaki YC car park and ramp will be considered a single ‘gathering’ of more than 25 people, which is also restricted to people with a My Vaccine Pass.
